Hello Everyone,
I want to wish everyone a very, Happy Thanksgiving. For those of us who are lucky enough to spend time with family and friends during the holiday season, please enjoy your time together. Please always remember, not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to spend time with their loved ones. And many cannot afford a warm, hot meal. For some, the reliance on food pantries to avoid hunger is a necessity. I would like to ask everyone to think about donating to their local food pantries. 100.1 WJRZ broadcasted live from the Perlmutter family ShopRite on Fischer Blvd. in Toms River yesterday and will be broadcasting again today, Saturday, November 17th, 8am-8pm, for “Share the Joy”. Ocean County families in need are counting on us to fill a tractor trailer with donations, to make their holidays brighter. They are accepting non perishable food items for the People’s Pantry in Toms River; new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Ocean County; and coats for our local military heros through New Jersey Veterans Network. Yesterday I had the privilege of filling a shopping cart with food I purchased at ShopRite and donated it to “Share the Joy”. I also donated some new toys for Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Once again, I wish everyone a very, Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you can find it in your heart to “Share the Joy”!
Thank you for your contributions,
Isabella Rose Valentino
